Multiversical Exhibition
View this colourful community of over 70 figures created by children, with artist Leonie Rhodes.
In the July school holidays, children learnt traditional figurative sculpting techniques (as well as clever tricks) to produce their own fantastic sculpture of a person. Each child built their own character starting with a wood and wire armature, adding brightly coloured modern materials.
Here the work will be presented as part of a collaborative, integrated installation, with the figures placed in a pattern on top of a five-pronged Fibonacci spiral.
Multiversical draws from Leonie's studies at London's Chelsea School of Art and the New York Studio School.
Age: 5 to 12 years
