Enjoy feel good shopping at 12 x 12, a unique shop that is Melbourne's first permanent social enterprise precinct.
The retail space showcases 12 retailers, who all share the same ideals of philanthropy and social awareness. Visitors will find treasures ranging from vintage clothes, to vinyl records and cleaning products that have been produced in sustainable, ethical and environmentally friendly ways, with part of the profits given back to society.
The changing nature of the space means there will always be something new to discover – the shop gets its name from the fact that every 12 weeks another round of 12 new retailers move in.
The 12 retailers are chosen based on the season and shoppers can expect to be surprised with a mix of fashion brands, home wares and stationery.
12 x 12 is housed within Donkey Wheel House, the former Melbourne Tramway and Omnibus Company building, now heritage-listed and a hub for social and ethical enterprises.
